Privacy Policy Android
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This is an English translation of the Japanese privacy policy. If there is any difference between the two, the Japanese version prevails.
YOH-TECH Corp. ("we", "us") sets out this privacy policy ("this Policy") to describe how user information is handled in the Android version of the application "CarDSPMusicPlayer" ("the App") provided by us.
1. Information we collect
The App has no network communication features and never sends any user information to our servers or anywhere else. All processing is done entirely on your device.
The App accesses the following information on your device. All of it is used on the device solely to provide the App's features, and is never sent, stored externally or shared.
- Music files (audio): accessed to list and play music files stored in your device's internal storage or on an SD card, and to analyze their loudness in order to correct volume differences between songs. Analysis results (such as loudness correction values) are stored only on your device. The App never copies song data or sends it anywhere.
- Folders and files you select: when importing m3u/m3u8 playlists, a CSV file of loudness correction values, or a correction file (.cdsp), the App accesses only the folders and files you select in the standard Android file picker, or the files you open with the App.
-
Microphone: used only when you use one of the following two features.
(1) In-car correction / microphone calibration: the microphone records a measurement sweep tone, and the App analyzes the frequency response of your car (or of the microphone itself). The recorded sound is only held temporarily in memory for the analysis and is never saved or sent as audio. Only the analysis result (numerical data such as the correction curve) is stored on your device.
(2) Voice search: speech is recognized by the speech recognition service on your device (such as Google's speech recognition), and the App receives only the recognized text. How the speech recognition service handles audio is governed by the privacy policy of its provider. - Notifications: used to show the current song and playback controls in the notification area.
When you set a cover image for a playlist, the App uses the standard Android photo picker (Photo Picker). Only the images you select are passed to the App, and the App never asks for access to your entire photo library. Selected images are stored only on your device.
The App has a diagnostic log feature for investigating problems. The diagnostic log is recorded only on your device, and is saved to the device's "Download" folder only when you export it from the Sound tab. The App never sends it automatically.
When you use "Send correction to another device", the App saves the profile you selected as a correction file (.cdsp) in the device's "Download" folder and shows the standard Android share menu. A correction file contains the profile name, the correction curve, the equalizer values, the date of measurement, the model of the device used for the measurement, and the app version. You choose where and how to send it (Quick Share, email, etc.); the App never sends it automatically.
2. Third-party SDKs and tracking
The App does not include any third-party SDKs, such as advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. The App does not obtain any identifier that identifies or tracks users (such as the advertising ID).
3. Disclosure to third parties
We do not provide any information related to your use of the App to third parties (as stated above, the App does not collect any information).
4. Data security
Data the App stores on your device (sound settings, playlist information, etc.) is protected by the standard Android app sandbox and cannot be accessed by other apps.
5. Requests for disclosure or deletion
Since the App does not collect user information, there is no information for us to disclose. All data stored on your device is deleted when you uninstall the App.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may change this Policy when necessary. The revised privacy policy takes effect when it is posted on this page.
